![]() You can't repair weapons in Dying Light 2, but I never had one break-by the time my favorite weapons were degrading from use there were newer, deadlier ones to buy or find. I liked it so much I installed a third mod that increased its durability. I grew pretty attached to my gleaming two-handed axe called the Heavy Duty, not just because it could hew off arms, legs, and heads while providing me with a stamina regeneration bonus and a damage bonus when I was at low health, but because it had three sockets I filled with craftable weapon mods that did electrical and toxic damage, turning critical hits into gloriously gory and effective strikes. You don't have to kick everyone to death: there's a steady supply of sharp, rusty, and spiky melee weapons to collect along with bows and throwing knives for ranged attacks, and explosives like mines and grenades. I know, it's not a kick, but it's still an awesome (and hilarious) finisher and a stylish way to get down to street level. There's a satisfying headstomp for mashing a fallen enemy's brains into goo, and even a move that lets me run right into a dude, knock him off a roof, and ride his body all the way to the ground, smashing his skull into the pavement. An air kick lets me target a foe from above, leap down, and drive my foot into his face in glorious slow motion. Feet firstĪlong with my beloved flying two-footed kick, there's more fun foot-related skills: a vault kick, which lets me use a stunned foe as a springboard to launch myself, boots-first, into his comrade (and if my kick stuns him I can simply turn around and springboard back to deliver another kick to the first guy). And most skills are distinct and useful enough to change the way I approach both fights and parkour. Each time I had a point to spend, I really had to consider what would have helped the most while I was getting my ass kicked for the past few hours. It makes progress feel earned, something I really have to struggle to accomplish, and it makes deliberating over which skill to pick feel important. Whereas a game like Far Cry 6 would have thrown loads of exciting weapons and skills at me immediately, in my first 10 hours of Dying Light 2 I'd only added a couple of extra moves to my arsenal. Progression is slow: every enemy I kill and wall I climb sends a trickle of combat and parkour XP into my bank, and only once I've leveled up those talents am I given a single point to unlock a new move from the two skill trees. The first few hours of Dying Light 2's feel shaky, slow, and clumsy-I miss my jumps frequently, hesitate at the ledge of every building before leaping, frequently run out of stamina while climbing, and hammer away at zombies with ineffectual weapons like table legs and baseball bats. ![]() I'm a complete klutz, a disgrace to the art of climbing walls and running on rooftops. I'm not yet a dynamo of flying kicks and fluid parkour when I arrive in Villedor.

![]() As such, it remains very uncertain if the artist who created the bowl actually intended to create an animation.Īccording to a 4th-century Chinese historical text, the 1st-century BC Chinese mechanical engineer and craftsman Ding Huan created a lamp with a circular band with images of birds and animals that moved "quite naturally" when the heat of the lamp caused the band to rotate. Though the images are sequential and seem evenly distributed around the bowl, to have the images appear as an animation the bowl would have to rotate quite fast and steadily while a stroboscopic effect would somehow have to be generated. This bowl is decorated in a series of images portraying a goat jumping toward a tree and eating its leaves. The faster the drum is spun, the smoother the animation appears.Įarlier rotating devices with images Device described in John Bate's The Mysteries of Nature and Art (1635)Īn earthenware bowl from Iran, over 5000 years old, could be considered a predecessor of the zoetrope. For viewing, this is placed against the inner surface of the lower part of an open-topped metal drum, the upper part of which is provided with a vertical viewing slit across from each picture. ![]() Instead of being radially arrayed on a disc, the sequence of pictures depicting phases of motion is on a paper strip. The zoetrope works on the same principle as its predecessor, the phenakistoscope, but is more convenient and allows the animation to be viewed by several people at the same time. From the late 19th century, devices working on similar principles have been developed, named analogously as linear zoetropes and 3D zoetropes, with traditional zoetropes referred to as "cylindrical zoetropes" if distinction is needed. The scanning of the slits keeps the pictures from simply blurring together, and the user sees a rapid succession of images, producing the illusion of motion. As the cylinder spins, the user looks through the cuts at the pictures across. On the inner surface of the cylinder is a band with images from a set of sequenced pictures. ![]() The zoetrope consists of a cylinder with cuts vertically in the sides. The term was coined by inventor William E. The name zoetrope was composed from the Greek root words ζωή zoe, "life" and τρόπος tropos, "turning" as a translation of "wheel of life". The definitive version, with easily replaceable picture strips, was introduced as a toy by Milton Bradley in 1866 and became very successful. It is a cylindrical variation of the phénakisticope, suggested almost immediately after the stroboscopic discs were introduced in 1833. For other uses, see Zoetrope (disambiguation).Ī zoetrope is one of several pre-film animation devices that produce the illusion of motion by displaying a sequence of drawings or photographs showing progressive phases of that motion. ![]() Through DVAPR she provided marketing and PR services to the entertainment and lifestyle industry, working on campaigns for movies and television shows, such as Lumumba, Spy Kids, Shrek 2, The Terminal, Collateral, and Dreamgirls. The Jerk Lockout How many of you have been hitting a rep…basically perfect in the first three portions of the movement, only to let your glass shoulders fail you when the bar is over your head? I just raised my hand. But there are some fun ways to train these and make your squat stronger. Plyometric Kettlebell Swings – banded pull throughs.Weak hamstrings and the inability to keep your butt and chest rising at the same angle will result in the barbell being forward, you being up on your toes, you jumping forward to receive the bar, and your lift looking like poop. This is what keeps you back in that midfoot range. Embiid was 7/1 while Curry was 10/1 on DKSB to win the award. If Team Durant can hang tight and Embiid can keep going, he’s got 29 and would be the likely pick from that side. Curry has 39 points and if Team LeBron wins, there’s no way Steph doesn’t get ASG MVP. So at this point it’s Curry’s award to lose. This would be a historic type of ASG performance. If he stays this hot he has an outside shot at 60, maybe even more points than that. Even if Team LeBron doesn’t win the game, you’d think 45 points with time left in the third quarter, no way anyone catches Curry. Embiid has 29 points, but no one on that side has really blown anybody away. If Team LeBron pulls it off, he’s a shoe-in. Curry is still the front-runner for MVP with 45 points. ![]() The villains, the doctors, the students, the teachers all of them are good looking. One thing that this series doesn't fail at though is making good looking characters. The characters are all painfully basic and stereotypical, though a few of them have some mystery behind their character which is good. I'm gonna be honest it is kinda enjoyable at times despite not having a single unique trait. Which is when he realizes that HE IS INDEED THE MC AND THE KID OF SOME IMPORTANT ONI FROM A CENTURY AGO aka the plot of Blue Exorcist and a couple of other shounen we've all watched before. After training for 2 chapters Ichinose is told to go to this school for oni (his type of species which are basically demons able to manipulate blood) who train to fight off the momotarou (a group of supernatural humans who use bacteria? as their power source). But guess what? HE WASN'T HIS REAL DAD!! HE PICKED ICHINOSE OFF OF NOWHERE WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT?! After this Ichinose is all alone and miserable and doesn't know what to do which is when a mysterious guy with rollerblades and an umbrella made from blood comes in and tries to awaken Ichinose's true power by training him a bit. Then a few panels later person with some type of mysterious magic comes in and tries to kill Ichionse, but of course his old man tries to stop him and dies in the process. The story starts with letting us know that Ichinose Shiki (the mc) is a trouble maker, always making trouble for his old man and everyone around him and If it's done in a good way generic can also be good as seen from almost every new gen shounen. SO first of all the plot is very generic, but generic doesn't mean bad. So It's been a while since I started reading this and I've wanted to write a review but I just couldn't find the right words to help me convey what I feel about this manga. Personally speaking, i would recommend this manga to new readers cus its interesting af. Sure, it has its flaws but hey, the manga is still pretty new and it still has time. The manga is decent, not too good but at the same time not too bad. The manga also has comedy elements which is shown through the artstyle, having similarities to Gotouge Koyoharu-sir's doodle-like artstyle as seen on Demon Slayer ![]() The art is very dope and the quality increases considerably as the tension on the scene increases. ![]() revealed about the main characters, but at the same time, every student of the Rakshasa academy is diverse in their own way in terms of looks and personality. As i said above, the plot is almost as same as Tokyo Ghoul, having humans and "enemies" with focusing the main characters siding with the "enemies", where enemies are considered threats to humanity and is being hunted down by a special group of humans. But this doesn't mean that the manga is "down to the core" bad or anything. Before Shiki can avenge his father, he must learn to control his headstrong and impulsive nature and, above all, fight against his own demonic blood.Ĭurrently having 50 chapters and being caught up to all of them, Tougen Anki is your generic Shounen Manga that seems to have elements of other mangas like CSM, TG etc. Shiki's momentary outburst attracts the attention of Naito Mudano, an Oni teacher at the Rakshasa Academy-an institution for young Oni in need of understanding and perfecting their powers. As he gives up his life to save Shiki and confesses everything in his dying breath, Shiki's Oni blood awakens for the first time, transforming him into an unruly monster overflowing with rage and a thirst for revenge. As a Momotarou himself, Tsuyoshi has been hiding Shiki for years and keeping his Oni origins a secret even from him. Tsuyoshi's selfless love is soon shown in an explosive incident when a Momotarou barges in looking for Shiki. Tap the ruler to get it to appear, and then you can move or using two fingers to rotate it. The so-called ruler to the lasso’s right is really more accurately called a straight edge, something I used constantly as an old-time graphic designer, and which most people rely on only in the early grades of school in the modern age. The odd shaded pencil to the right of the eraser is the lasso tool. Switch to object, and you can tap to remove any contiguous drawn objects. In pixel mode, the eraser removes a round swath through anything you’ve drawn, and its size can’t be adjusted. New in the OS updates is an option to switch between pixel and object removal, both of which affect only drawn items, not the text and shapes I’ll describe next. The eraser tool only erases items you’ve drawn, not parts of the original image. The color selected applies to drawing tools as well as objects, discussed next. Just don’t forget - it can be removed with some photoshop, so don’t use it to redact sensitive information. If you tap and hold the marker icon, you can choose how transparent or thick it should be too. This gives you all the same options as marking up a screenshot. If you already have an image or screenshot saved in your Camera Roll, you can simply find it in Photos, tap Edit, and when you tap the … menu item at the bottom of the screen, choose Markup. Once you tap Done in the top left corner, you’re given the option of saving the image to photos or deleting the screenshot immediately, which helps to keep your camera roll clean. Once you’ve annotated your screenshot to your heart’s content, you can use the share sheet in the bottom right corner to send it where it needs to go instantly. In the bottom right corner, there’s a + button, which allows you to add additional markup - be it text, a signature, magnification, squares, circles, speech bubbles, or arrows. Next to these, you can choose the color you want to use with these tools. If you tap this floating image, then you’ll be taken straight to the editing window with the pen, marker, pencil, eraser, and lasso tools across the bottom. This is the most immediate way to start editing a screenshot. Whenever you take a screenshot on iOS, the image floats in the bottom right corner for a while - not long, just long enough for you to grab it if you want to. Thanks to the built-in screenshot tools on iOS today, it’s easier than ever to comment and share your ideas around the UI experience. What used to be a clunky and frustrating experience in years past is now a seamless and quick task. Screenshots are one of the most effective ways to communicate about UI elements in virtually any operating system. ![]() Highly performant and robust solution for remotely displaying 3D applications over all types of networks.
